I'm thinking about buying a relative some Dickies Shorts for the summer - but now I'm thinking about skipping that and now I am seriously thinking about buying Christmas presents now. I'm sure that will save a lot of money.

Do you guys buy presents in the middle of summer or wait until Christmas season?

Personally, I've always got my eyes open for deals....

I already have eight small misc. gifts stored away. I had a couple of small things put back for DD, but she found them in the bags with her birthday party stuff so I went ahead and gave them to her. DH said she'd forget about them by Christmas, but this 4 year old is still talking about last Halloween---she has a mind like her mommy's---we don't forget!! I try to keep my ears open all year long to hear what others might want so I can get a useful gift. The kids (7 nieces & 1 nephew) are easy---clothes!

We will pick up things throughout the year if we find something good, but we mainly do our shopping between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We tend to do our's in October. What there is of it. Shopping isn't a big part of our Christmas celebrations any more.

I shop all year long, BUT I am also very bad at keeping the gifts until Christmas. I love to see someones face perk up when they receive a gift, just for no reason at all! :cone:

Geez, it's October guys, time for me to get serious about finishing the Christmas gifts. I told Sara to finish up her wish list pronto. I wonder if Santa can double my paycheck??????

Use to shop year round and had a hiding area. But now everyone wants those boring ol' giftcards LOL So I just wait until December.

I start my shopping in January when winter items are on sale. These are usually gift items rather than fashion items.

I find the deals are better and the competition from other shoppers much less during the summer and early fall than they are once stores start really pushing Christmas. Most of my shopping is completed during the Columbus Day sales.
