A friend wants to get me a Christmas gift and I can't think of anything I want. What do I want and why do I want it?

Cant think of anything at all? How about having them donate in your name to a cause you support?

But if they really want to get your something then I would tell them to "surprise me". For me that is what Christmas is all about. I dont like getting someone something they ask for, that's not the spirit! Since they are your friend they obviously know you pretty well so tell them to think of things you like and be creative! Their reward will be the look on your face when they see you open your gift!

I'm sure a ferret would drive me insane, but I'm buying a Rosy Bourke (a timid breed of parakeet) in November! I finally figured out that I could ask for apple scented candles or apple printed pot holders. I just don't have much room for decorations or need anything.

Great ideas! She won't see my face though because she lives in another state.

Always an idea!

I do have to come up with something for my best friend. This Christmas will be the first time I have seen her in 6 years.

why so long, was she in Iraq?

Christy Carol

Alaska! She has two kids plus her hubby so flying all four down costs a pretty penny. But they are using their end of the year stipend to come home this year. Alot of her family has gotten sick over the past couple of years and she knows it time to do whatever it takes to get here.

Christy Carol

I bet they do, I'll have to ask her. Who knows, they may have it year round because she lives really close to North Pole, Alaska. And we all know thats where the big man lives!!

We have been talking about it for a few years now. If the economy holds we may try to go up next year, late summer before the snow sets in.

Christy Carol

I bet they have it because the rinky dinky one in my hometown had it yesterday. And they have nothing there. Unless it came from a local dairy here.

My daughter told me that I'm going to have spiders in my tree because I stored half of it in a bag in the garage. She said spiders crawl inside the bags and that I'll probably have a brown recluse in there!!!! :o
