What song/CD says "it's Christmas!" to you?

For me, the season hasn't officially started until I plug Perry Como Sings Merry Christmas Music into the CD player.

(I know; that's surely the most awkward title in the history of Christmas albums.)

Why that particular CD? Because, growing up, it was the ONLY Christmas album we had! My brother and I played it over and over and over again, back-to-back, ad nauseum. I'm sure my poor mother was at the point of a nervous breakdown from hearing it so much!

I also love PErry Como and that album is a ust for my family as well. There is a album that my Grandfather was very fond of that i feel is special come christmas. It is called Christmas day with Sammy Kaye and that is the one that makes the holiday special to me.

There's a few sites around that have lots of old vinyl records for download, I'll have to look around.
I just got a USB turntable and am looking for records to rip =D Been hitting the thrift stores but not found anyting yet :( I will be on the look out for this one, I'll remember that tree :grinn:

I used to be a major Barry Manilow fan... and even now, I still pull out the CDs now and again (my version of the old 45s?); but I LOVE "Because It's Christmas".

I have never eally tried to listen to much of Barry Manilow's Christmas albums. I think this year i will give them a try and see what i think because alot of people speak very highly of them.

He has, I believe, three Christmas albums out there - Because It's Christmas, A Christmas Gift of Love (I can't in good conscience recommend it), and In The Swing of Christmas - which I haven't heard.
