Something you guys from MMC or Christmastalk may have seen.

I was roaming around Michael's one day (in other words, following my girlfriend around) when these Chinese take out boxes caught my eye. I had never seen them before and at first I was fixated on them just because I couldn't figure out why someone would want the box without the food.

Then I had an idea. Very simple, just some poster paint, a bit of cardboard, some ribbon, and a cheap night light. If I were to work at it, I'm sure I could get it refined some, but I liked the soft light it provided in an otherwise dark room (or with a tree lit). If you're going to try it, I suggest throwing some change or something small but relatively heavy in there to keep the cord from pulling it around. I still need to toy with the battery pack one and maybe a white LED if I can find one in my stash.

I also made a little battery pack with a blue LED I had on hand and tossed it in there just to see how it would look.

That's a very good idea Tony! Good job! I like the way you have the night light... just run an extention cord.. Very creative!

I still want to do a battery pack one with a white LED to see how long it lasts.

But you've got to find your stash.... of LED's that is!

I think I like the yellowish glow of the traditional type bulb best...

It does provide a nice ambiance in a dark room, and it's cheap!

Yeah... I can imagine it would be very nice in a dimmly lit room... maybe a fire crackling in the back ground..... Just don't set him to close to it... :D

If there's a fire crackling in my house, one of my projects has gone horribly awry.

I invision a mad scientist... Bwa-hahahahaha!

Beakers, and bubbly concoctions all around the room... you, in a white coat with a, scorched face -- curtains on fire... oh my!
