We all have it – that song or album without which “it just isn’t Christmas”. I’ll tell you mine, then you can tell me yours.

Perry Como Sings Merry Christmas Music
. Surely a contender for the most awkward title in the history of Christmas albums, this was for many years the only Christmas album my parents had – so my brother and I would listen to it over and over and over, ad infinitum, ad nauseum. I don’t play it a lot, but until I hear Perry’s dulcet tones, it just ain’t Christmas….

Bob Rivers Comedy CDs. My favorites are Who Put The Stump? and The Twisted Chipmunk Song.

The Andy Williams Christmas Album. Who doesn’t like Andy?

The Dean Martin Christmas Album. Ditto.

Barry Manilow – Because It’s Christmas
, with special liking for the title cut.
